Hearts & Hope
My Home Life: I am the firstborn and live with my paternal aun (Nakiganda, Jeminah), my sister, and my aunt’s family. My father passed away suddenly in March 2021, and my mother's whereabouts have been unknown since his death.
My aunt bakes pancakes and donuts, which she sells at local schools during school sessions. The baking business has a capital of 20,000 shillings and generates a profit of 3,000 shillings ($.86) per week. In addition, my aunt is a peasant farmer, growing crops such as corn, sweet potatoes, pinto beans, and cassava for both home consumption and sale. She harvests two basins of pinto beans, selling one bag for 25,000 shillings ($7.14), and keeps the other for our household.
Levi respects and loves his aunt deeply.
