My Story

My Home Life: Kushemererwa, Joseph Muwanguzi lives in a one-bedroom brick home in Kamuli Village with his mother, Nankwanga Sylvia. He is the third born in a family of six children—two sisters and three brothers. At home, his responsibilities include collecting water from the well, washing utensils, and cleaning the house and compound.

Joseph’s mother separated from his father, who has since started another family and does not provide any financial support. As a result, she is raising the children on her own. To support the family, she sells groceries such as tomatoes, onions, and vegetables on the street. She earns about 7,000 shillings (approximately $2.00) per day, which is not enough to cover rent, food, other basic needs, or school fees.

Due to these financial challenges, Joseph is in need of educational assistance.
