My Home Life:
I am the second born in my family, living with my three siblings (one boy and two girls), my paternal aunt, Mirembe Deborah, and my cousins (my aunt’s children).
At home, I help by collecting water from the borehole, washing dishes, preparing tea, and keeping both our house and the compound clean.
My parents separated and abandoned us when I was just one-year-old, and their whereabouts remain unknown.
My aunt works as a casual laborer in gardens within our village. For example, she can work from morning to noon for an entire week and earn only 10,000 shillings (about $2.86). The little she earns must cover all our basic needs and also support our schooling, but it is not enough.
