My Home Life:
I am the first-born in my family with no siblings, and I live with my maternal aunt, Nakiyuuka Jumia, and her children (my cousins). At home, I help by doing laundry, cleaning the house and compound, washing dishes, and collecting firewood for cooking as well as water from the borehole.
My mother died while giving birth to a baby who also passed away, and my father’s whereabouts have been unknown since then. My aunt owns a small drug shop (pharmacy) in our trading center, which she started with a capital of 300,000 shillings (about $85.71). From the profits, we rent a four-room house at a cost of 50,000 shillings (about $14.29) per month.
