Hearts & Hope
My Home Life: I live in a one-bedroom home in Kiwolerwa village with my mother, Nanyonga Safinah. I am the fourth born in a family of six children—four sisters and one brother. At home, my responsibilities include collecting water from the well, washing utensils, and cleaning the house and compound.
My father abandoned us and started another family. He does not provide any financial support to my mother.
My mother is a single parent who works as a security guard at a nearby school, earning 80,000 Ugandan shillings (about $22.86) per month. This small income must cover her transport to and from work, rent, and other family needs. Unfortunately, it is not enough to pay school fees or meet our basic needs. I am therefore in need of educational assistance to continue my studies and work towards a better future.
