Hearts & Hope
My Home Life: I am the eighth-born in my family and have seven siblings—one boy and six girls. We live with both our parents, Namukubembe Aisha (mother) and Lasuli Musalwa (father).
At home, I help by doing laundry, cleaning the house and compound, washing dishes, and collecting firewood and water from the borehole.
My father is rarely at home, as he has another family with a wife and children. Both of my parents are peasant farmers who grow crops for both home consumption and sale. For example, they may sell 2 bags at 60,000 shillings ($17.14) per bag after a four-month season, keeping the remaining bags for home use until the next harvest.
However, the money my parents earn is not enough to meet all our basic needs or pay school fees for me and my siblings. That is why I am seeking a sponsor to help me continue my education and achieve my dreams.
