My Story

My Home Life:

I am the third-born in a family of four children, with three siblings—two girls and one boy. My brother and I live with our paternal grandmother, Namutamba Sara, while my other siblings live with my mother following my parents’ separation when I was one year old. At home, I help by cooking tea, doing garden work, cleaning the house and compound, washing dishes, and collecting firewood for cooking as well as water from the borehole.

My parents send small amounts of financial support whenever they are able to. My grandmother is a peasant farmer who grows food crops such as maize (corn), sweet potatoes, pinto beans, and cassava mainly for home consumption and partly for sale. However, the income she earns from selling part of our harvest is not enough to meet all our basic needs and cover my school fees.

Therefore, I need a sponsor to continue my education and achieve my dreams.
