Hearts & Hope
My Home Life: I live in a one-bedroom brick house in Bunangwe village with my paternal grandmother, Kyakuwale Betty. I am the third born in a family of five children—two sisters and two brothers. At home, my responsibilities include fetching firewood, collecting water from the well, washing utensils, and cleaning the house and compound.
My parents left us in the care of our grandmother when they went to Kampala to look for better job opportunities. Although they occasionally call to check on us, they do not send any financial support.
My grandmother is a peasant farmer who grows food mainly for home consumption and has no stable source of income. As a result, it is difficult for her to meet our basic needs and pay for our school fees. For me to continue with my education and achieve my dreams, I am in need of sponsorship.
