Hearts & Hope
My Home Life: I am the second-born in my family and currently live in a small house with two bedrooms and one living room, together with my aunt, her husband, and their children. I have three siblings—two boys and one girl—who are living with other relatives in a faraway village.
At home, I help with many chores, including cooking, collecting firewood, fetching water from the borehole, washing dishes, doing garden work, and keeping our house and compound clean.
Both of my parents passed away from unknown causes—my father in 2016 and my mother in 2018. Since then, my aunt has taken me in and tried her best to care for me. She is married and has three children of her own. She used to run a small retail shop that sold basic items like bathing soap, laundry soap, sugar, matchboxes, and salt, but the business has since closed down, and she now has no source of income.
Her husband does casual labor whenever he can, and he tries to support my education, but his income is barely enough to take care of his own family, let alone cover my school fees. As a result, I am often sent home from school due to unpaid tuition, and I miss many classes.
That is why I am kindly seeking your support—to help me stay in school, continue my education, and work toward a better future.
