**James is the 1st born in his family staying with his Grandmother and other Grandchildren in a house of one living room and two bedrooms. James’ other siblings stay with other relatives.**
**Both on James parents have died. James’ father was a police officer. He got shot by a fellow police officer while settling some village disputes. In 2012, James Mother had accompanied her sister to wash clothes on the banks of Lake Victoria where they were both attacked/killed and eaten by crocodiles. They were never given a burial because there was nothing to bury after the attack.**
**The grandmother worked for a timber company named Nileply until she got in an accident at work in October 2010. She was no longer able to work because of the accident. Thankfully the timber company compensated her with some money to which she used to pay for her medical treatment and also purchased to purchase a small plot of land where she managed to construct a house they are currently living in.**
**They have no enough land to grow crops for both home consumption and to sell so, they only depend on the money the Grandmother’s older children (James’ Uncles and Aunties) send to help buy them basis needs at home but it is never enough since the Uncles and Aunties also have families to take care of and don’t earn that much money. Hence needing support with her grandson’s education.**
