Hearts & Hope
My Home Life: I am the second-born in my family and live with both my parents, Nabwire Eveline and Rev. Marijo Titus, along with my sister. My mother works as a casual laborer—she does laundry for people in our village and earns about 5,000 shillings ($1.43). Occasionally, she is hired by local catering companies to assist with cooking at events, where she earns between 30,000 and 50,000 shillings ($8.57-$14.26) after a full day of hard work. My father serves as an associate pastor in the Lutheran Church, but his monthly income is very modest and not enough to support our family’s needs. The little money my parents earn goes toward covering our basic necessities and school fees for my siblings and me. Unfortunately, it is not sufficient. That is why I am kindly seeking your support—to help me continue my education and work toward achieving my goals in life.
