My Home Life:
I am the second youngest in my family and live with my mother, father, and siblings—seven brothers and one sister. My mother’s name is Babirye Hellen, and we live in a one-bedroom brick house in Butangala village.
Ivan is a disciplined child who respects me and other elders. His responsibilities at home include washing utensils, sweeping the compound, and digging.
Both my mother and father are peasant farmers who work for others in exchange for food to feed us at home. During breaks, we join them in digging, and we get food like cassava, vegetables, and sweet potatoes. However, they lack a stable source of income, and it becomes difficult to meet our basic needs, such as medical expenses, clothing, school fees, and food, especially when they don’t have people to work for. This is why we are in need of educational support.
