My Story

My Home Life: I am the third born in my family and live with my mother, Nakato Hanifer, and my two brothers and one sister. I am a very bright and hardworking boy. At home, I help by fetching firewood, collecting water, cooking, washing utensils, and cleaning our house and compound.

My parents separated, and my father's whereabouts are unknown. My mother is a peasant farmer who grows crops such as corn and beans for home consumption. She rents a piece of land (50' x 50') for 50,000 shillings ($14.29) per year. Additionally, she works as a casual laborer, digging for other people to earn money. She can dig for two weeks and earns 20,000 shillings ($5.71). The money my mother earns is used to cover our basic needs and to send us to school, but it is not enough. Therefore, I need a sponsor to help me continue my education.
