Both Shadrack’s paternal grandparents passed away and both of Shadrack’s parents abandoned their children. The father’s whereabouts are unknown. **The Great grandmother is a peasant farmer who grows crops such as maize, sorghum, beans, potatoes and cassava in their home garden for both home consumption and to sell. They can for example harvest one bag of sorghum, a bag weighing 100kgs and sell it at UGX.40000 ($11.43).**
**The money Shadrack’s great grandmother earns from selling some of their yields is used to pay for their basic needs at home and also send the great grandchildren to school but it’s not enough hence needing help with their great grandchild’s education.**
