My Story

My Home Life:  My name is Namukose, Esther and I am the Mother to Latif.  I am a single mom and have 4 children (2 girls & 2 boys) to take care of on my own.  We live in a one room brick house.  I do causal work such as doing laundry and cleaning compounds for the people around the trading center and will earn some food for my work; I bring the food home for her children.  When I have work I can earn 3,000 shillings ($.85) in a day.  This is not consistant work and not enough to take care of my families basic needs and school fees.  Hence the need for assistance with Latif’s education.

Matege, Latif is a humble hard working boy.  His responsibilities at home are washing utensils and fetching water at the bore hole.  As a single mother taking care of the children and home yet I earn little for the family as a causal labourer and I earn 3,000 shillings ($1.00) in a day and this is not enough to meet our basic needs for the children and making payments of their school fees.
