Hearts & Hope
My Home Life: I am the fifth born in my family, living with both of my parents, Nandase Madinah and Kasuna Ivan, and my three sisters and two brothers.
I am an obedient and hardworking boy. At home, I help by fetching firewood, collecting water, cooking, washing utensils, and cleaning our house and compound. My parents are casual laborers who work in other people’s gardens to earn money. For example, my mother earns 7,000 shillings after working for two days. My parents also run a vegetable stand at home where they sell tomatoes, cooking oil, and onions. The capital for the vegetable stand business is 50,000 shillings ($14.29), and they make an average profit of 3,000 shillings ($.86) per day. The money they earn is used to cover our basic needs and to send us to school, but it is not enough. Therefore, I need a sponsor to help me continue my education.
