My Story

My Home Life:

I am the 1^st born in my family living in Kainhogoga village with my Maternal Grandmother, 2 siblings and 3 more Grandchildren. My Grandmother’s name is Naigaga, Catherine. My responsibilities at home are fetching firewood, fetching water from the well, washing utensils and cleaning the house and compound. My Father died from an unknown death in 2019 and my Mother left me and my siblings with our Grandmother in search of casual work in faraway villages. My granny works so hard as a casual laborer; she works in other people’s gardens and she can for example cultivate from 7am-12pm for 5 days and earn 25,000 shillings ($7.14) The money she earns is not enough to even pay for our basic needs at home which is why I need a sponsor so that I can continue going to school.
