My Story

My Home Life: My name is Kalembe Deborah, and I am the Mother of Stecia. We live in Nawonago village in a one-bedroom brick house. Stecia has two brothers, and her responsibilities at home include cooking, fetching water, and washing dishes.

My husband and I are peasant farmers who work the land for others in exchange for food. We lack a stable source of income; for example, we may labor on two acres of land in return for just 2 kilograms of beans and 3 kilograms of posho. We face challenges in providing adequate health care, clothing, and nutrition for our children, and therefore, we are in need of educational assistance.
