My Story

My Home Life: Shirat lives in Busobya Village in a one-bedroom brick house with her grandmother and my siblings—three sisters and one brother.

Shirat is a humble and obedient girl who respects both me and other elders. At home, her responsibilities include washing utensils, sweeping the compound, and mopping the house.

Her grandmother’s name is Nangobi Zatuniah. Both her mother and father left the children in her care and moved to Kampala to work, but they no longer check on us or provide any financial support.

The grandmother grows food like beans, vegetables, and maize for us to eat, but she has no steady source of income. Because of this, we are seeking educational support to help Shirat continue her schooling and work toward a better future.
