Last week, a fire broke out at Nakamyoni Secondary School, impacting several students within our sponsorship program. While we are incredibly grateful that everyone escaped without injury, the devastation was nearly total—many students lost everything but the clothes on their backs.

The cause is currently under investigation, though early reports suggest a malfunctioning solar panel battery may be to blame. We are now fundraising to replace essential school supplies, clothing, and boarding materials, and to assist the school in its rebuilding efforts. Should we exceed our goal, additional funds will be reserved for future disaster relief to protect and support our students in times of crisis. Thank you for your generosity!
