My Story

**Sharifah is the 2nd born in her family living with her mother. Her parents separated and the Father got back with his first wife (Mother to Sharifah’s older half sibling).** **Sharifah’s Mother is a peasant farmer growing crops such as maize, beans, and sweet potatoes for both home consumption and to sell. She can for example harvest one bag of maize weighing 50kgs, sell 25kgs at UGX.13000 ($3.71) and leave the other 25kgs for home consumption. The money she earns from selling some of their yield is used to pay for their basic needs but it is not enough hence needing help with Sharifah’s education.**
