AN INTRODUCTION TO SUUBI
I live with my younger sister and our older sister, Nzigu
Nesita, in Makota Village in a small home with two
bedrooms and one living room. I am the ninth-born of ten
children, with four sisters and five brothers. Seven of my
siblings live with our parents, while my younger sister and
I were sent to live with our older sister because our
parents could not afford to care for all of us. She cares
for us alongside her three children.
At home, I help with daily chores, including cleaning the
house and compound, working in the garden, washing
clothes, and preparing meals. My sister works as a school
nurse and earns a modest income that makes it difficult
to support all six children in her care. She is also the wife
of our area pastor and runs a small drug shop in the
community to help provide for the family.
Despite these challenges, I remain hardworking,
determined, and committed to my education. I believe
education can help me overcome my circumstances and
build a brighter future. I humbly ask for your support to
help me stay in school, achieve my dreams, and create a
better life for myself and my family.
