AN INTRODUCTION TO FATIINA
I am the firstborn of four children, me and three boys,
who live with different relatives. My parents separated,
and my father’s whereabouts are unknown. My mother
left our village in search of better opportunities and now
does casual work, earning barely enough to meet her own
needs. Due to our family’s circumstances, I was sent to
live with my maternal aunt, Nzigu Nesita, in Makota
Village. She cares for me and her three children in a
home with two bedrooms and one living room.
At home, I help with daily chores, including cleaning the
house and compound, working in the garden, washing
clothes, and preparing meals. My aunt works as a school
nurse and earns a modest income that makes it difficult
to support all four children. She is also the wife of our
area pastor and runs a small drug shop in the community
to help provide for the family.
Despite these challenges, I remain hardworking and
committed to my education. I humbly ask for educational
support to help me stay in school, achieve my dreams,
and build a brighter future for myself and my family.
