My Story

AN INTRODUCTION TO SHUKRAN
I live in Makota Village with my parents, Kabaale Asuman
and Namulondo Shamina, and my younger sister. I am the
second-born of two children. We live in a single-room rented
house that costs $1.50 per month.
At home, I help my mother by washing dishes, collecting
water, and cleaning our home and compound.
My father is a teacher at St. John Lutheran School and earns
about $42.85 per month. My mother is a peasant farmer who
grows maize, beans, sweet potatoes, and cassava, mainly to
feed our family, with a small portion sold for income. With
our limited resources, it is difficult for my parents to meet
all our needs, including my education.
I am a humble, hardworking, and determined girl who values
education. I am committed to my studies and dream of
building a better future for myself and my family.
I humbly ask for educational support to help me remain in
school and achieve my dreams. Your support would give me
hope and the opportunity to build a brighter future.
