AN INTRODUCTION TO VICTORIA
I live in Makota Village with my parents, Namukaya Esther
and Kagawa Ibrahim, and my three siblings. I am the third
born of four children. We live together in a small one-bedroom
house.
At home, I help by washing dishes, collecting water, working in
the garden, and cleaning our home and compound.
My parents are peasant farmers who grow maize, beans, and
cassava, mainly to feed our family. When farm work is not
enough, they work as casual laborers in other people’s
gardens. After several days of hard work, each earns only
about $2.90. Their income is low and irregular, making it
difficult to meet our basic needs, including my education.
Despite these challenges, I am hardworking and determined. I
value education and believe it can help me build a better
future, support my family, and achieve my dreams.
I humbly ask for educational support so I can continue my
studies and make the most of the opportunities available to
me. Your support would bring me hope and help me work
toward a brighter future.
