AN INTRODUCTION TO SHARIFAH
I live in Makota village with my paternal grandmother,
Kolosi Wotali, and my siblings. I am the second-born in a
family of three boys.
I help at home by washing dishes, collecting water and
firewood, doing laundry, working in the garden with my
siblings, cooking, and cleaning our home and compound.
Sadly, I lost both of my parents when I was very young.
My father passed away in 2015 while my mother was
pregnant with me, and my mother passed away when I
was three years old. Since then, my siblings and I have
been raised by our grandmother. She is elderly, has
difficulty hearing, and is unable to work, so we depend
mainly on the kindness and support of others.
I also have challenges with my eyesight, which can
sometimes make learning difficult. Despite these
challenges, I am determined to continue my education
and work hard to achieve my goals. Educational support
would help me remain in school, pursue my dreams, and
build a brighter future.
