I am the second-born child in a family of two children. My
sister and I live with relatives because our parents
separated, and we do not know their whereabouts. I now live
with my paternal grandmother, Kasubo Robina, in a modest
three-bedroom house with one living room.
I help with household responsibilities by washing dishes,
collecting water from the borehole, gathering firewood for
cooking, doing laundry and garden work, cooking, and
keeping our house and compound clean.
My grandmother is seriously ill and suffers from high blood
pressure and diabetes, which make it difficult for her to
work. Despite her health challenges, she continues to do most
of the gardening while seated or crawling on her knees. I do
my best to help her with the garden whenever I can.
Together, we grow maize, groundnuts, cassava, and sweet
potatoes, which help provide food for our family.
To help meet my school needs, I collect and sell firewood to
earn money for scholastic materials and other necessities.
Although life is challenging, I remain determined to continue
my education and work toward a better future. I am
respectfully seeking educational support so that I can stay in
school, achieve my dreams, and one day improve the lives of
my family
