My Story

I live in Makota Village with my paternal grandmother,
Nabirye Toffa, and my siblings in a modest two-bedroom
house with one living room. I am the first-born of three
children, with one brother and one sister. My parents are
separated, and my mother’s whereabouts are unknown.
At home, I help with various household responsibilities,
including washing dishes, collecting water from the
borehole, gathering firewood for cooking, doing laundry,
working in the garden, cooking, and keeping our house
and compound clean.
Although my father provides some financial support, it is
not enough to meet all of our basic needs and cover the
costs of my education. My grandmother is a peasant
farmer who mainly grows food crops for our family’s
consumption and does not have a regular income from
farming. Because of our limited financial resources, it is
difficult for my family to afford my educational expenses.
Despite these challenges, I am a hardworking girl who
loves school and is determined to continue my education. I
kindly ask for financial assistance to help me remain in
school. Your support would greatly ease the financial
burden on my family and give me the opportunity to
pursue my education and build a brighter future
