My Story

I live in Makota Village with my paternal grandmother,
Nanangwe Jane, and my three siblings—one brother and two
sisters. I am the third-born in my family, and we all live
together in a single-room house.
At home, I help with various household responsibilities,
including washing dishes, collecting water from the borehole,
gathering firewood for cooking, and keeping our house and
compound clean. I also help care for our family cow, which we
keep for milk.
My father passed away suddenly in February 2022 from an
unknown cause. My mother later remarried and left us in the
care of our grandmother without providing financial support.
My grandmother makes and sells pancakes at St. John
Lutheran, while my older sister sells them door-to-door in the
village on weekends when she is not at school. Their small
business has about UGX 70,000 ($17.86) in capital and earns
approximately UGX 20,000 ($5.10) in profit each week.
I am a responsible and hardworking student who is
committed to my education and determined to build a better
future. I am humbly requesting educational support to help
me continue my studies and achieve my goals. Your support
would greatly ease the financial burden on my family and
give me a better opportunity to pursue my education
