My Story

I live in Makota Village with both of my parents, Nafuna
Hadijja (mother) and Nabawooza Thomas (father). I am
the third-born child in a family of four girls, and we live
together in a modest two-room house.
At home, I help with various household responsibilities,
including washing dishes, fetching water from the
borehole, collecting firewood for cooking, doing laundry,
working in the garden, cooking, and keeping our house
and compound clean.
My parents are peasant farmers who work hard to
provide for our family. They grow crops such as
eggplants, beans, cassava, sweet potatoes, and maize
(corn) for both our family's consumption and for sale.
Although they do their best to support us, the income
from farming is often not enough to meet all of our
family's needs, including the cost of my education.
I am a humble, respectful, and hardworking girl who
values education. I am determined to work hard in school
and make the most of every opportunity to learn. I am
humbly seeking educational support to help me continue
with my studies, achieve my dreams, and someday be in a
better position to help improve the lives of my family
