I am the first-born child in my family, and I have a twin sister, Apio. There are three children in total— two girls and one boy. I live with my parents, my mother, Abbo Jane, and my father, Egessa Ivan. At home, I help with various household responsibilities, including collecting firewood, fetching water from the well, working in the garden, doing laundry, washing dishes, and keeping our house and compound clean. My parents are peasant farmers who grow beans, maize, and cassava, mainly for our family's consumption. They sell a small portion of the harvest to help meet our household needs. Sometimes, my father also works as a boda-boda rider to supplement our family income. However, the money my father earns, together with the income from selling part of our crops, is not enough to meet all our family's basic needs and pay my school fees. That is why I am seeking support to continue my education, remain in school, and achieve my dreams in life.
