I am the first-born child in a family of three children, with one
sister and one brother. I currently live with my maternal aunt,
Namaganda Suzan, in a house with two bedrooms and one living
room.
I help out at home by doing dishes, collecting water from the
borehole, doing laundry, doing garden work, cooking, and cleaning
both our house and compound.
My aunt is married and has six children of her own. My siblings
live with other relatives because our family is unable to stay
together. My parents separated, and their current whereabouts
are unknown. Since then, my maternal aunt has taken on the
responsibility of caring for me despite her limited financial
resources. My aunt is a peasant farmer who grows food crops such
as groundnuts, beans, cassava, and matooke (bananas) mainly for
home consumption. To earn some income, she also makes snacks
such as pancakes and fried cassava, which she sells by the
roadside near our home. She operates this small business with a
capital of UGX 10,000 ($2.68) and earns an average profit of
about UGX 1,000 ($0.27) per day.
Due to her small income, meeting my educational expenses has
become very difficult. I am therefore seeking educational support
