Hearts & Hope
My Home Life: I am the second-born child in my family, with four siblings—two boys and two girls. We all live with our father, Kitende Abdallah, in a small house with one bedroom and one living room.
At home, I help with household responsibilities such as cooking, washing clothes, working in the garden, cleaning both our house and compound, washing dishes, and collecting both firewood for cooking and water from the borehole.
My parents are separated, and my mother rarely visits or provides any financial support. My father works as a boda boda rider and earns about UGX 10,000 (about $28.57) per day.
We also have a garden where we grow crops such as maize, sweet potatoes, pinto beans, and cassava mainly for home consumption and occasionally for sale. However, the income my father earns is not enough to meet all our basic needs or pay school fees for me and my siblings.
For this reason, I am seeking sponsorship to continue my education and achieve my dreams for a better future.
