My Home Life:
I am the first-born child in my family, with two younger brothers. My mother’s name is Gulini Zakia, and my father’s name is Bakyawa John.
At home, I help with household responsibilities such as collecting firewood, fetching water from the well, washing dishes, cleaning the house, and keeping our compound clean.
My father earns a living as a boda boda rider and can make a profit of about UGX 15,000 on a good day. My mother is a peasant farmer who grows crops such as maize and pinto beans mainly for family consumption.
The income my father earns from riding a boda boda is used to provide for our basic needs and pay school fees, but it is not enough to fully support our family. As a result, meeting educational expenses is often difficult.
