Hearts & Hope
My Home Life: I am the fourth-born child in a family of six children. I have five siblings—four boys and one girl. My father is Buyinza Peter, and my mother is Kyobula Regina.
At home, I help with many household responsibilities, including collecting firewood for cooking, fetching water from the borehole, washing clothes, working in the garden, preparing meals, and washing utensils.
My father is a reverend and serves as a chaplain at Kiboyo Lutheran School. However, his income is not sufficient to support the educational needs of our family. In addition to his work as a chaplain, both of my parents are peasant farmers who grow crops such as maize and pinto beans in our home garden for both family consumption and sale.
During a farming season of about four months, they harvest approximately 60 kilograms of pinto beans and sell about 40 kilograms for UGX 20,000 (about $5.71). The income earned from farming, together with my father’s salary, is not enough to meet all our basic needs and pay school fees for all the children in our family.
For this reason, I am seeking sponsorship to help me continue my education and work toward achieving my dreams and building a better future for myself and my family.
