Hearts & Hope
My Home Life:
I am the third-born child in a family of six children. My father, Mugoya Charles, is a single parent.
At home, I help with household responsibilities such as fetching firewood and water from the well, washing utensils, and cleaning our house and compound.
My father is a peasant farmer who grows crops such as maize, beans, and cassava in our home garden. In a good season, he may harvest about eight bags of maize, each sold for approximately UGX 80,000 (about $22.86).
He also works as a builder, constructing houses in our village. However, the demand is low, and he is often paid small amounts because most people can only afford simple houses. The income he earns from farming and construction is only enough to meet our basic needs at home.
Because of these financial challenges, I am seeking support to continue my education and achieve my goals for a better future.
