Hearts & Hope
My Home Life:
I am the sixth-born child in my family, with six siblings—two girls and four boys. We live with both of our parents, Nsubuga Musa (father) and Mutesi Azena (mother).
At home, I help with household responsibilities such as cleaning our house and fetching water from the borehole.
My parents are peasant farmers who grow crops such as maize, pinto beans, sweet potatoes, and cassava for both home consumption and sale. For example, they may harvest one bag of maize weighing 100 kilograms, sell about 50 kilograms, and keep the rest for home use. My father also works as a boda boda rider and earns about UGX 10,000 per day.
However, the income from farming and my father’s work is not enough to meet all our basic needs or pay school fees for all the children in our family. Because of these financial challenges, I am seeking sponsorship to continue my education and achieve my dreams for a better future.
