Hearts & Hope
My Home Life: I am the third-born child in my family, with three siblings, all of whom are girls. We live with our mother, Nakawesa Regina.
At home, I help with household responsibilities such as fetching water from the borehole and cleaning our compound.
My parents separated, and my father struggles with alcohol and does not provide any financial support for our family. My mother is a peasant farmer who grows crops on a rented piece of land. The land is rented at UGX 100,000 per acre, where she grows crops such as maize, sweet potatoes, pinto beans, cassava, and green leafy vegetables over a farming season of about six months.
However, the income my mother earns from farming is not enough to meet all our basic needs or pay school fees for me and my siblings. For this reason, I am seeking sponsorship to continue my education and achieve my dreams for a better future.
