My Story

My Home Life: I am the seventh-born child in my family, with eight 
siblings—five girls and three boys. We live with our mother, Babireba 
Madinah. 
At home, I help with household responsibilities such as washing clothes, 
cleaning our house and compound, washing dishes, and collecting both 
firewood for cooking and water from the borehole. 
My parents separated, and my father married another wife. He 
abandoned us and does not provide any financial support for our family. 
My mother works as a casual laborer, doing garden work for other people 
to earn a living. For example, she may work from morning to noon and 
earn about UGX 20,000 after four days of hard work. 
The income my mother earns from casual labor is not enough to meet all 
our basic needs or pay school fees for me and my siblings. Because of 
these financial challenges, I am seeking sponsorship to continue my 
education and achieve my dreams for a better future.
