My Story

My Home Life:  I am the third-born child in my family, with three siblings, all of whom are girls. Two of my sisters live with our parents, while I live with my older sister, Kyobola Regina, and her husband, Buyinza Peter, who serves as a chaplain at Kiboyo Lutheran School.

At home, I help with household responsibilities such as collecting firewood for cooking, fetching water from the borehole, and washing utensils.

My sister's husband works as a chaplain, but his income is not enough to support both his children's education and mine. My sister and her husband are fully responsible for my care, as my parents are unable to provide financial support for my education. My parents are peasant farmers and earn very little from selling part of their harvest.

In addition to his work as a chaplain, my sister and her husband are also peasant farmers. They grow crops such as maize and pinto beans in their garden for both family consumption and sale. During a farming season of about four months, they harvest approximately 60 kilograms of pinto beans and sell about 40 kilograms for UGX 20,000n (about $5.71). The income they earn is not enough to meet all our basic needs and pay school fees for all the children under their care.

For this reason, I am seeking sponsorship to help me continue my education and achieve my dreams for a better future.
