Hearts & Hope
My Home Life: I am the fifth-born child in my family, with four siblings—two girls and two boys—who are currently living with other relatives. I live with my sister-in-law, Kagoya Kasfah, and her children, who are my cousins.
At home, I help with household chores such as preparing tea, cleaning our house and compound, washing dishes, and collecting both firewood for cooking and water from the borehole.
My parents separated, and their whereabouts are unknown. My sister-in-law is a peasant farmer who grows crops such as maize, groundnuts, sweet potatoes, pinto beans, and cassava. For example, she may harvest about 200 kilograms of maize and only sells part of the harvest when there is a financial need at home.
The income she earns from selling some of our farm produce is not enough to meet all our basic needs and pay school fees for me and my cousins. Despite her hard work, providing for our family remains a challenge. For this reason, I am seeking sponsorship to help me continue my education and achieve my dreams for a better future.
