Hearts & Hope
My Home Life: I am the second-born child in my family, with three siblings—two boys and one girl. We all live with our parents, Nabirye Nuulu (mother) and Mugoya Livingstone (father).
At home, I help with household chores such as cleaning our house and compound, washing dishes, and collecting both firewood for cooking and water from the borehole.
My mother is a skilled hairdresser in our village. Despite working hard, she earns approximately UGX 30,000 per week, which is about $8.57. My father is a casual laborer who works at construction sites and earns about UGX 15,000 ($4.29) for a day's work. However, this type of work is not available regularly, and there are times when he can go for an entire month without being called for a job.
The income my parents earn is not enough to meet all our basic needs and pay school fees for me and my siblings. Because of these financial challenges, I am seeking sponsorship to continue my education and work toward achieving my dreams and building a better future.
