My Story

My Home Life:

I am the firstborn in a family of two children, living with both of my parents and my younger sister in a rented house that costs UGX 15,000 (approximately $4.28) per month. My father, Mpyangu Sharif, earns a living through casual labor, mainly making and baking bricks. He invests about UGX 100,000 ($28.57) in his brick-making business and, after six months of hard work, earns a profit of around UGX 200,000 ($57.14). My father is also a builder, but building jobs are not available regularly.

My mother, Nabukeera Mariam, is a peasant farmer who also assists my father with casual labor. Together, they work in other people's gardens to earn additional income. Despite their efforts, the money my parents earn is not sufficient to meet our family's basic needs and cover school expenses. For this reason, I am seeking sponsorship to continue my education and pursue my dreams of building a better future for myself and my family.
