My Story

My Home Life:

I am the firstborn in my family and have one younger sister. We live with our aunt, Kyobonera Rose.

At home, I help by collecting water, washing dishes, making tea, and cleaning the house. My parents are not together—my father abandoned us, and his whereabouts are unknown.

My sister and I were sent to live with our aunt when our mother left the village to look for work, and we rarely hear from her. My aunt is a casual laborer who works in other people’s gardens to earn money. The income she makes is very small and not enough to meet our needs or pay for our school fees. That is why I am seeking support to continue my education and pursue my dreams.
