My Story

My Home Life: I am the third-born in a family of four children, 3 boys and one girl. We live with both of our parents and one cousin brother. My mother’s name is Nanyazi Jennifer, and my father’s name is Nkuutu George. At home, I help by cooking, doing garden work, washing utensils, doing laundry, and collecting water from the borehole.

My parents are peasant farmers who grow food crops such as maize (corn), pinto beans, cassava, and groundnuts mainly for home consumption. My mother also sells second-hand clothes around our village on foot and makes a profit of approximately 50,000 shillings (about $14.29) after four months of hard work. My father is also a construction worker who works as a builder on sites and earns about 20,000 shillings (approximately $5.71) per day when work is available. However, he does not get construction work regularly and may go one to two months without being called for a job.

The combined income of my parents is not enough to meet all our basic needs and pay school fees. Therefore, I am in need of your support to continue my education and achieve my goals in life.
