Hearts & Hope
My Home Life:
I live in a one-bedroom brick home in Bunangwe Village with my mother, Konso Agnes, and my father. I am the fourth born in a family of nine children—three brothers and five sisters. At home, my responsibilities include collecting water from the well, washing utensils, and cleaning the house and compound.
Both of my parents are peasant farmers. They grow food mainly for home consumption and also sell groundnuts on the streets to earn a living. On average, they make about 7,000 shillings (approximately $2.00) a day, which is not enough to cover rent, other basic necessities, and school fees. Because of this, I am in need of educational support.
