My Story

My Home Life: My name is Kasadha Ben, Uncle of Ruth’s.  We live in a one-bedroom brick house in Buwenge village.  Ruth is the last born in the family and has two sisters & 2 brothers. At home, her responsibilities include fetching firewood, collecting water from the well, washing utensils, and cleaning both the house and the compound.

Ruth lost both of her parents in a tragic taxi accident as they were returning from the burial of her maternal grandmother. Sadly, everyone in the taxi died, but by God’s grace, the children had stayed behind and were not in the vehicle. My siblings and I decided that each of us would take in one of the children to care for, in memory of our late brother and his wife.

I am a peasant farmer, growing food for home consumption. However, I have no reliable source of income to meet our basic household needs or to support the children's education. That is why I am seeking educational assistance.
