My Story

My Home Life:

I live in a one-bedroom brick house in Butangala village with my aunt, Nayigulu Mariam. I have two sisters and two brothers. At home, my responsibilities include fetching firewood, collecting water from the well, washing utensils, and cleaning both the house and compound.

We live with our father’s sister, who takes care of us. Our father brought us to her after our mother abandoned us and went to live with a wealthy man. Our aunt is a peasant farmer who grows food for home consumption. She is also a single mother, caring for her own children as well as us. She has no stable source of income, and our father does not provide any financial support.

Because of this, it is very difficult for her to afford school fees and meet our basic needs. That is why we are in need of educational support—to have the opportunity to continue our studies and work towards a better future.
