My Story

My Home Life;

My name is Kayanga Mariam, and I am the mother of Pius. We live in Bunena Village in a one-bedroom brick house. Pius has two brothers and one sister.

At home, Pius helps with cooking, fetching firewood, and collecting water.

My husband and I are peasant farmers. We grow food mainly for our family's consumption and sometimes work in other people’s gardens in exchange for food. We do not have a stable source of income, which makes it difficult to support our children’s education.

That is why we are seeking help for Pius to continue his schooling and have a chance at a brighter future.
