My Story

My Home Life: My name is Nabirye Ruth, Mother to Emma. My husband, Kazibira Charles and I have 1 boy & 1 girl.

My family lives in Kamuli district in a one single room house.  Emma’s responsibilities at home are fetching water and sweeping the compound.

My husband is a potter at a construction site.  He is paid 2,000 shillings ($.57) each day that he is hired to work.  I cook street food (chips) in the evening and can earn 5,000 shillings ($1.43) a day if it is a good day; somedays I earn nothing when I don’t have customers. Getting money for rent and also providing basic needs at home is challenging hence in need of educational help.
